Hosam Alraqiq, B.D.S., M.S.D., M.A., Ed.D., C.H.E.S.
Hosam Alraqiq, B.D.S., M.S.D., M.A., Ed.D., C.H.E.S., is an Oral Health Epidemiologist and Program Director for the Dental Public Health Research Fellowship (DPHRF) at the NIDCR Office of Science Policy and Analysis. He previously worked at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, where he served as Project Leader on HRSA-sponsored programs, including those focused on enhancing HIV training and service, as well as postdoctoral and predoctoral training in dental public health, population oral health, health communication, community engagement, and inter-professional practice.
Dushanka V. Kleinman, D.D.S., M.Sc.D., (RADM, USPHS (ret.))
Dushanka V. Kleinman, D.D.S., M.Sc.D., (RADM, USPHS (ret.)), is a Special Volunteer at the NIDCR Office of Science Policy and Analysis, and Professor Emerita, School of Public Health (SPH), University of Maryland (UMD), College Park. Prior to joining UMD’s SPH as Associate Dean for Research, she completed 28 years of government service where she served as Deputy Director of NIDCR and completed a 5-year term as the 15th Chief Dental Officer in the U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS) in 2006. She is a Diplomate and past President of the American Board of Dental Public Health.
Jayanth Kumar, D.D.S., M.P.H.
Jayanth Kumar, D.D.S., M.P.H., is a Special Volunteer at the NIDCR Office of Science Policy and Analysis and a former California State Dental Director. Before joining the California Department of Public Health, she held several positions at the New York State Department of Health, including Director for the Bureau of Dental Health and the New York State Dental Public Health Residency Program. Dr. Kumar is a board-certified specialist in dental public health and a former Director and President of the American Board of Dental Public Health.
