Hosam Alraqiq, B.D.S., M.S.D., M.A., Ed.D., C.H.E.S.
Hosam Alraqiq, B.D.S., M.S.D., M.A., Ed.D., C.H.E.S., is an Oral Health Epidemiologist and Program Director for the Dental Public Health Research Fellowship (DPHRF) at the NIDCR Office of Science Policy and Analysis. He previously worked at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, where he served as Project Leader on HRSA-sponsored programs, including those focused on enhancing HIV training and service, as well as postdoctoral and predoctoral training in dental public health, population oral health, health communication, community engagement, and inter-professional practice.
Shahdokht Boroumand, D.M.D., M.P.H.
Shahdokht Boroumand, D.M.D., M.P.H., has served as a faculty member for the dental public health (DPH) residency programs at NIDCR and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for more than a decade, and has contributed to the training of several DPH residents. As a dental public health consultant, she has provided services to a number of agencies. Her areas of interest include program design and curriculum development, as well as the epidemiology of oral diseases, focusing on cancers of the oral cavity and pharynx. She completed her dental public health residency at NIDCR, and her M.P.H. training concentrated on epidemiology and biostatistics at Johns Hopkins University.
