Program

NIDCR and the American Dental Association (ADA) hosted a webinar series titled 'Putting Prevention into Action' in observance of National Children’s Dental Health Month.

Community water fluoridation was acknowledged as one of the most effective, cost-efficient, and socially equitable methods to promote oral health. The webinar featured a panel discussion on current research regarding the effectiveness of community water fluoridation, the relationship between fluoride and neurocognitive development, and future directions of fluoride-related research. A question-and-answer session followed the presentations. Health professionals were eligible to receive continuing education credit.
