Dara Kessler, D.M.D.

As NIDCR’s Chief of Staff, Dr. Kessler ensures not only that “the trains run on time,” but also that they are all moving in the right direction and taking the most expedient route. She fosters a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement in the institute.

Dr. Kessler’s skill in managing projects, motivating people, and thinking strategically draws from her 20+ years as a dentist focused on prevention, education, and holistic, whole-person health for her patients.

Dr. Kessler earned her bachelor’s degree in general science from Brandeis University and her D.M.D. from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She completed a 2-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City. She has also studied at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and is a certified parent educator and parenting coach.
